the ones who have gone by beating the mountain to the
sky, both the love and the death are inside
mostly, going to someone is being nobody, what is the few
hold your hands inside you and hide, the sake and the memory
are inside
if the eyes are foreign land, the skin is the homeland
which has been returned to, what are the moment and the distance
if the time dial has been injured, both the hour hand and
the minute hand are inside
the pain in my voice has been beating me to me for a
long time, what is the heart
horse and love, and the desire of going to the
mountains of a horse while dying is inside
I am the doubling voice of the good and the evil, what
is the drowning effect
don’t wrap Allah around your neck by making prayer and
duet Allah, the gloom is inside
the human is the emptiness on the paper inside the
skin, what is the favor
if the notebook of a life is totally composed of
letters, every syllable is inside
the heart and the little things can only be told by
keeping quiet, what is the secret
if the human is the sentence of the loyalty and the testament,
die and be! interjection is inside
oh, even its name is arakli* every human is its own accident!

Arakli: A little township of Trebizond city in Turkey
(Also the homeland of Turkish poet Huseyin Alemdar). “Township” word is called
as “kaza” in Turkish and its other meaning is also “accident.”

Huseyin Alemdar Biography
Turkish poet Huseyin
Alemdar was born in Arakli, Trebizond in Turkey in 1962. He is the founder of
Orhan Murat Ariburnu Poetry Award and Hera Poetry Library.
He graduated from Arakli
High School in 1980. He studied in Mimar Sinan University Photograph Department,
but gave up his education in 1982. He worked as director assistant, scenario
writer in cinema sector in Turkey and also redactor in some Turkish literary
journals and advertisement agencies. He is still working in an advertisement
agency in Istanbul as redactor.
His poems and essays have
been publishing in all major literary journals of Turkey since 80’s. Some of
his poems have been translated into Bulgarian, Greek and Rumanian languages.
